Finance Yoga? See what we’re all about

by Jeremiah on February 18, 2012

Hello all, and welcome to FinanceYoga.com. You may be asking yourself (or already have) “What is Finance Yoga?” and/or “How can this site help me?” Well, since I have decided to live debt free, I have done (and will continue to do) a ton of research on  multiple aspects of financial health and well being. With my experience of finances in the past, I have found that finances are a very important part of anyone’s life and can be the cause of mounds of stress in one’s life and/or relationship(s).

Yoga, in the realm of health and physical fitness, is a way of releasing stress, clearing the mind and body of any tension as well as greatly improving flexibility. When I learn something new or find a service or method of making my finances easier and/or more efficient, I find myself becoming less stressed, as well as more flexible in these areas. So, the term “Financial Yoga” refers to a process of exercising concentrated efforts to achieving financial freedom and a better financial future, helping you to apply the basic principals of Yoga (in a sense) to your financial situation.

Who can benefit from this site? It is my goal that everyone can benefit from this site in one way or the other. Whether you are a teen planning for a bright financial future, or a working adult supporting a family, hopefully there will be something in here that either teaches you something, causes a positive spark in your personal financial journey or even reminds you of something that you have forgotten along the way. In no way do I promote this site as a replacement for professional financial advice, I only offer bits of my personal experiences and opinions that you can use to determine if it is worth your time to take your chances or not take your chances with any specific process, method or service. Financial advisers will have much more knowledge of your personal situation so I will always recommend you consulting with a financial adviser if you need specific help. Like I said, look at this site as a “financial review” site that compiles my personal experiences, idea’s and reviews on different processes, services or products to help you form your own opinion(s) or give new ideas to further explore.

Within the posts to come, I will offer helpful product/service reviews as well as tips and tricks I have learned along my personal financial journey, that may help you to improve your financial future, impacting it in a very positive way. The whole idea behind this site is to have a venue to give people access to help and advice, via my personal experiences with financial institutions, banks, investment portfolio, budgeting, biblical references to finances, tips for saving, making money and much more to come.

Please feel free to leave comments on each and every post to let me and the rest of the world know your stance on these subjects, as I know I do not know everything and in many cases, you may be able to shine a light on something that I did or did not touch on within the post. I pledge to only offer my true personal opinion on the topics I discuss, as I believe in my christian walk is necessary to effectively show the love of Christ to the world.

There are many great sites that offer help and advice as this one does. With the vast variety of topics to cover, I may not have something about what you are looking for posted. That is why I will gladly refer you to ChristianPF.com. It is the best resource that I have found on the net for good, honest and consistent “Christian” financial advice to help you with almost anything financial.

For now, I’m out, but more posts to come.

May God bless you in all that you do.
